Newport Oyster Festival at Bowen’s Wharf

Bivalves by the water: Newport Oyster Festival at Bowen’s Wharf, presented by Santa Margherita and featuring Rhode Isl and Growers, is coming up May 20-22 and tickets are for for sale here! Oyster Festival tickets are $25 each day fornSaturday May 21 and Sunday May 22nd. Advance purchased tickets include four free oysters and a beverage. What’s better than freshly harvested oysters, curated with wine and prosecco pairings and a chance to learn about how you’re helping the ecosystem just by eating oysters? Supporting sponsors are Stella Artois and Bully Boy Distillers: so you know every palette is in for a phenomenal treat.

The night of Friday May 20th come find your pearl on the waterfront: Newport Oyster Festival Opening Night Party to Benefit the OceannState Aquaculture Association.nTickets are $125 and limited to 150 people, but will include all you can eat freshly shucked oysters, Open Bar featuring Santa Margherita wine and prosecco pairings, Bully Boy spirits, Stella Artois beers and a variety of different oyster based delicacies — a true ocean to table experience as well as the launch of the new Rhode Isl and Oyster Trail.

 

Bowen’s Wharf has been working hard with Dave Roebuck from Salt Pond Oysters to bring this festivalntogether. We feel strongly about supporting local business, bringing growers together with restauranteurs, oenophiles, and fostering ocean based industries, which is why our 12+ growers on site will be there to show your their shucking skills and give you the inside story on aquaculture.
