Save The Bay’s Newport BayStation is an education center featuring live creatures and hands-on study to promote issues affecting life in and around Narragansett Bay. Programs are geared for groups ranging from pre-school field trips to senior center outings. A variety of public activities are offered, including hikes, canoe trips, snorkeling adventures and evening cruises. The BayStation also is the home of Save The Bay’s Alletta Morris education vessel. The BayStation is also the home office for our education specialists as well as the captain of the Alletta Morris. They’re happy to answer your questions about Narragansett Bay or about any of our education programs when they are not out on the water. Group visits to the BayStation may be scheduled by calling Anne Branch at Save The Bay’s main office in Providence at 401-272-3540, Ext. 133.
