The Roger King Gallery of Fine Art is Newport's oldest fine arts gallery. Nationally known for its fine selection of paintings from the 19th through the mid-20th centuries, the gallery assists the novice art lover as well as museums and experienced collectors.
Visitors are welcome to browse its two floors of galleries on Bowen's Wharf (across from the Clarke Cooke House), where they will find marine, landscape, genre, and still life paintings by important American artists.
The gallery sponsors changing exhibits and is a leader in the presentation of 19th century marine art, early African-American painting, and regional art.
Appraisal, restoration, and conservation services are also available. | | |
